Black Box Battle is an interactive puzzle experience in which you and your team work together to crack mysterious boxes. Each box is filled with riddles, codes, hidden mechanisms, locks, and surprises.

You'll need logical thinking, creativity, and teamwork to open as many boxes as possible before time runs out. Think of the excitement and puzzles of an escape room, but in a completely different format.

You'll play as part of a team of 2 to 5 people. As soon as the timer starts, choose a Black Box and get to work together.

Solve puzzles, discover hidden clues, crack codes, and try to fully open the box. Did you succeed? If so, you'll move on to the next challenge.

Meanwhile, your performance is being tracked, and you're competing to get the highest score possible.

In total, up to 24 people can play the Black Box Battle.

Are you coming with a larger group? You'll be divided into several teams and can compete against each other at the same time. Perfect for groups of friends, birthday parties, and team-building events.

No. Each Black Box session is limited to a maximum of 5 people. Larger groups will be split into multiple teams.

You can choose from two set playtimes:

• 50 minutes – €19.90 per person

• 75 minutes – €24.90 per person

The Black Box Battle operates on a fixed-time slot schedule. Therefore, please make sure to arrive on time for the start of your reserved session.

On average, it takes about 15 to 25 minutes to complete one box.

There are a total of 19 different Black Boxes, located at O'Learys Ghent and O'Learys Hasselt. You're not supposed to solve them all in a single visit.

Afterward, you'll receive a Black Box Battle card where you can keep track of which boxes you've already cracked open.

There are 19 different boxes, and the boxes are regularly rotated between Ghent and Hasselt. This means that on your next visit, you can discover new challenges and keep trying until you’ve finally solved them all.

Black Box Battle features various elements familiar from escape rooms: puzzles, codes, hidden mechanisms, time pressure, and teamwork.

But instead of escaping from a single room, you try to solve as many individual Black Boxes as possible. This means you can play through the experience multiple times and discover new challenges each time.

Every Black Box is a challenge, but you definitely don't have to be an experienced puzzle solver.

Thinking logically helps, but working together, observing carefully, communicating, and trying different things are just as important.

And above all, don't underestimate your teammates. Sometimes someone else will spot exactly what you've been staring at for the past five minutes. 😉

Absolutely! Black Box Battle is all about communication, logical thinking, creativity, and teamwork and is therefore particularly well-suited for team-building.

Larger groups are divided among different teams, which also allows you to turn it into a real competition among them.
